Temu credit: balance, spending and refunds

Temu credit is a shopping balance in your Temu account. Temu applies it to eligible orders at checkout. Its credit policy says the balance has no expiration date and you cannot transfer it to another account.

Cash withdrawal is a separate question. Temu's help says you cannot redeem the balance for cash. If you chose credit for a refund and want the original payment method instead, leave that credit unused and contact support. Temu does not promise to approve the change.

Where to find your credit balance

In the app, open You → Credit balance. On Temu.com, sign in and open Orders & Account → Credit balance. Temu lists both routes in its credit policy.

Look at the wallet balance when checking a payout. A promotion screen may show coins, progress or a pending reward. Those numbers can describe a task you still need to finish.

How to use Temu credit at checkout

Temu says it applies credit to eligible orders before you submit them. Review the amount on the order confirmation page. You can change how much credit you use before placing the order.

You can use credit with a coupon, according to the credit policy. The coupon still has its own minimum spend, exclusions and deadline. Check the final amount due rather than treating the advertised coupon value as money in your wallet.

For example, a 60-unit order with 40 units of available, eligible credit leaves 20 to pay by another method. Use the final order total, including any charges, for that calculation.

Does Temu credit expire?

Temu says credit in your account does not expire. Its expiry help page states that credit is valid forever.

A promotion can still set a deadline for earning or claiming a reward. A coupon can expire too. If a timer runs out, check which of those it belongs to before concluding that your wallet balance has expired.

If your balance is smaller, check pending orders. Temu's policy says an unpaid order can reserve credit and cancelling that order returns it to the balance. The same policy says Temu cancels credit for a returned item if you also obtain a chargeback or reversal through the original payment method for that item.

Can you withdraw Temu credit as cash?

Temu's withdrawal help says the balance is for Temu purchases and cannot be redeemed for cash. A cash-paying promotion, if your account offers one, has separate rules. A credit reward does not become a bank or PayPal payout because a guide calls it “cashback”.

There is a specific route for a refund you chose to receive as credit: Temu asks you to leave it unused and contact customer service if you want to change to the original payment method. Ask support about that refund. Do not spend it while waiting for an answer, or assume the route also applies to promotional credit.

Refund credit and promotion rewards

Can a credit-funded order earn more credit?

Jakub reports paying 7,200 Kč with existing credit and receiving 5,400 Kč back as credit in October 2026. He then received another offer. That establishes one completed, credit-funded round on his account. It does not identify the campaign name or establish the same eligibility for every account.

The round reduced his balance by 1,800 Kč. If the next offer again requires 7,200 Kč, the returned 5,400 Kč leaves a 1,800 Kč funding gap. Read the completed case and the calculations for further rounds before treating repeated credit rewards as free purchases.

Before placing another order

Check your available balance, the credit applied at checkout and any new money due. For a reward offer, save the rules and claim deadline. Compare the goods with prices elsewhere. A large reward is useful only if you receive it and spend it on purchases you want.
